Oil Capacity of Land Cruiser GXR 2001

I changed Oil & Filter for the first time with 8 Liters next day I checked the oil gauge, it shows above the full mark, next day i went to the mechanic to remove the excess oil, he insist its OK no need to remove, I asked some other mechanic about the oil capacity and all they also told 8 liters. But when I add 8 liters it shows above the mark, with 7.5 liters its OK, please advise 8 or 7.5 ltrs.
