maxim.bck, the only person who could answer this is someone who has had the same dilemma. As I think this is very unlikely, it looks like it's up to you to do the leg work. Letr us know how you get on.
maxim.bck: If you're tight on cash then I'd advise you to consider an Altima. It won't need as much servicing as a Jaguar, it's definitely more reliable than a Jaguar, and you'll be able to sleep comfortably at night cos you won't be worrying a lot about transport. The Altima is a good Japanese car that doesn't depreciate price-wise quickly in comparison to European cars.
Sami: If I ask a question in a forum and someone replies to me in the same way that you have replied to maxim.bck, I will be offended and I may not ask questions in that forum again because of the hostile feedback that I may get from people like you that think that they're smarter than everyone else.
well look, I guess you should ask Al Fardan Service Center about the service for Jaguar, but I don't know how much will it cost, but I can assure you that Al Fardan is one of the best in servicing the cars, so I guess you should put that into consideration, and besides a jaguar is a jaguar no matter how or what year it is....Good luck
KratosAurion: telling someone that he's naive,is NOT an offense ... you can google the meaning of it, it means "inexperienced", and I was only informing him that the two vehicles services are uncomparable since each are from a different category...I guess you're the one who need to grow up and be careful in commenting on others!!!!HUH!....
Let me make myself more clear. If I buy 2003-04 Jaguar X-type 2.5 for 40,000 compared with 2007 Altima 2.5 for 50,000. Which option would be better? Both the cars would require some parts change soon. If Jaguar's maintenance is not too expensive then Altima, then I'll go for Jaguar. Any recommendations?
Sami: Do you really have to offend the person asking the question? Can't you reply to him with a little more respect? Just cos you're answering him anonymously doesn't mean it's OK to go around insulting people. Good god, some people have a lot of growing up to do. I don't know the answer to the question, but I will say that servicing a Jaguar would probably be more expensive than servicing an Altima if the owner is paying it out of his own pocket. For more info I'd call the dealers to be sure.
