kabayan in my opinion, puro hearsay lang sinasabi nila na malaki ang tax pag nag-import ka ng car sa pinas.pero wala naman nakakasubok. wala nakakapagpatunay. mga retailers nga di naman nililimitahan ang importation. and most probably, binebenta nila ang car more over sa total ng binayaran nilang tax para maipasok sa bansa natin.ibig sabihin binebenta ni retailer ang car sa presyong kasama na ang tax nong inimport nila, bukod pa sa babayaran mong vat ng pinas sa pagbili mo. subukan mo lang magsaliklik.. mag-inquire.. wala nmn masama. ako pag may time ako, magsasaliksik ako. dahil balak ko din mag-import ng car sa pinas. ang gawin mo punta ka sa mga website ng mga retailer. magtanong tanong ka dun, baka may makuha kang info.. or it could be dun sa may-ari ka mismo ng retailer dito makipag-usap at tanungin kung ano requirement para makaimport ng car sa pinas. or same procedure pag nandun kana sa pinas. pumunta ka rin sa mga retailer. and most probably, kung may kakilala kang mga pulitiko, or mga sikat na artista or personalidad na nakabili na ngsasakyan sa ibang bansa, pasok ka sa facebook nila at dun mo sila kausapin at magtanong tanong. wala namn masama sa pagtatanong. sa tingin ko nga mas makakamura ka kung mag-iimport ka ng car sa pinas. sila willie revillame, pacquiao, chavit singson, etc etc... pwede mo sila tanungin... approach mo si pacquiao, am sure approachable nmn si idol manny...
200% of car value is the tax you will pay and it should not be more than five years old.
sobrang mahal ang mong tax mabuti pa pinas kana bili car at motorbike kesa ibayad mo sa tax dagdag u nalang pambili ng magandang bike at car pinas...

I'm sorry I can't give an exact figure; but it would surely be an obscene amount and a BIG HEADACHE. Not worth it!
Kabayan, it is advisable to buy your car in the Phil. rather than importing a car from Qatar as the custom duties is almost double, some people says that members of diplomatic corps i.e. Embassy staff can import cars free of custom duties, for further info, just open Customs website in RP.
In the Philippines there are what they call as "receipted" and "un-receipted" charges, besides the fact that you will pay lots of types of taxes (which unfortunately we do not know where they are going). So I suggest that you just buy a new motorbike or even a car there. It would cost you less or the same, without the hassles of going thru the customs and all those red-tape and bureaucracy.
