I am planning to buy a HONDA Vehicle. How do you people rate Honda vehicles? How is the spare parts prices and Service prices and all? Please give some advises.
@ Shef, remember I purchased this new, so with the up-to-10K Maintenance Package and Bumper to Bumper Warranty, you are pretty much covered. After the Warranty, it depends on how much you want to spend on Maintenance. As the Car Accidents, I purchase Full Coverage Insurance, which is Mandatory in Qatar during the 1st year of purchase of a new Car. After the 1st year expired, I purchased another Insurance Policy based on the Recommendation of the Honda Dealer's repair shop. I asked the question, which policies do you cover and they game me the run down as to the terminology and coverages should be included so that Lucille could receive genuine Honda Parts (OEM), without any hassles. Soon after, my car was hit again, back to the shop without any hassles. So, in the end, I recommend doing some homework. Although Honda works for me, it might not work for you. Do perform some causative research on your own (a) price, (b) quality, (b) safety, (c) performance, (d) accessibility to parts (e) warranties, and most important (f) easy access to the dealership before and after the sale? In other words, will the dealership be there for you after the purchase. As the old cliche goes, you better shop around :)
@ Shef, since a 2014 Honda Pilot, which was purchase new on 2014, Maintenance was covered I believe up to 10,000 KM and 3 years of warranty bumper to bumper. After the 10K, basically refills of lubricants, change the Oil and 20 safety point checks (Tires, Windshield wipers, belts, tires, etc.), which can be done @ any Woqod station or any reputable shop. It should cost between 300-500 QAR.
@ Brit - As you probably know, the price of driving in Qatar, is in dealing with aggressive tail-gating drivers and the round-abouts. The most recent accident was at Exit 24, off of Salwa Road. I saw the entrance, slowed down to exit and WHAM....hit from behind by a local driving what was a nice Lexus.
Hi Shefeeqcs! I purchased a Honda Pilot around Ramadan in 2014. Best move I ever made, reliable, roomy and not bad on gas. I got hit in Rear many of times, but she keeps on ticking. Let me know if you need more information, during Ramadan is best time to purchase. Best wishes.
I've owned two Honda Civic cars and currently also own a Prado. I always felt that the spares of a Honda are a bit expensive compared to a Toyota. Service charges at company workshops are always dearer say compared to Woqod petrol station services. But I haven't serviced the Prado at Toyota workshops.
Another thing that was an issue with me was the ground clearance of the Civic. As it has a soft suspension the ground clearance decreases and chances of scraping the underside are high.
You should have a good reaslon top buy Honda. Excellent in comfort and having good resale value. it also depends , whoch car your are going to buy. I personally dont like Honda pilot. but for sedan ; hona accord and honda city is best. Parts are avaialble and reliable . Incase of used car , try to find only company maintained car , may be you will pay abit more price , but this will be a good decesion.

For 25 - 39 years folks Honda City is the best choice with black colour .....................................................................
Go for white colour Accord if you are in 40 - 50 years age bracket ..............
