HIT and RUN - URGENT

Hi

Today early morning(time not sure) my vehicle was hit by unknown vehicle in my parking damaging bumper and signal light. I already reported to Traffic and they asked me to go there to collect the report(issued a receipt). During inspection, the policemen was telling it is KARWA bus based on colour of the paint. It seems it hit by the tail of the bus.

My question whether I need to pay traffic fine even if it is not mistake?

As per my Insurance there is a minimum deduction of QRS.500. Do I need to pay this?

If I locate the KARWA bus which damaged my vehicle is it required to report to Tranffic? (There are 3/4 Karwa school bus passing everyday morning in front of my house. So I hope I can locate)

Thanks in Advance.

similar thing happened to be but only a scratch on the bumper. . . paid police report coz it is needed to file for insurance (no fines there). . . I did not pay the QAR500 before. . .

but now, with the insurance (law), per claim you have to pay QAR500 (your fault or not)

if you found said bus (take a picture of your car and print it big). . . then you have to report to the police (jot down the plate no.) so that they will pay for the damage of your own car

good luck, detective ;)

Yes, this is payable by you for ANY claim no matter how big or small.

If the accident is unknown then the police consider this is your fault and you may claim from Insurance if yours is full Insurence. Qar 500 is to be paid by by you when you claim from your own policy this rule started last year and I have the same specillay wz QIC but im not sure abt other Insurance

Actually you don't have to pay any traffic fine.

What you are asked to pay is the fee for the traffic dept to issue the report so that you can ask the Insurance Company to proceed and issue a "repair order" on your name.

Unless of course the Policeman had found that you were "illegally parked" or something else against the traffic rules.

Regards!!
