For the mentioned rate it may be difficult to get low mileage branded car like toyota or nissan. Therefore go for other brands. I purchased KIA RIO 2008 model for QR.30,000 in June. I am very well satisfied with it. If you go for 2007 model or so you may get in your budget.
I heard peugeout cars also good and you may get good vechicle for your budget.
Dont listen to these jokers who have an American car used for sale. You are throwing money right out the window on any used American car here in Qatar. The guy selling the Chevy? please God help us all. The only person benefiting from that deal is the seller (who is likely happy to be ridding himself of extortionate costs of repair from the dealer) and the dealer whose smile at the service center you will get accustomed to.
Listen. The best ONE car you can get for that kind of money is a 2 - 3 year old HONDA CITY with mileage at least under 30,000 km. Reliable and great resale value even with high mileage. They are always in demand. That Chevy wont be worth a dinner at McDonalds in a few years. Observe I am not selling you a car. I am just advising.
Whatever the vehicle you buy, make sure you go for an inspection at one of the auto shops at the Salwa Road, which will give you a complete breakdown of the vehicle's condition including paint jobs. Once you get the OK from the report proceed. As for advice on the brand it should be a personal choice. Nissans and Toyotas will fetch a decent re-sale value though.

You can buy Toyota/Nissan/Honda cars of 2003 and above models which will fetch you good return on your investment, that means the maintenance cost will be less and the resale value will be there and you will get a customer quickly at the time of selling your vehicle.
Before buying do a proper checking through professionals preferably computer checking to know the condition of Engine, Chassis, Gear Box etc., Once you are satisfied with the reports you can proceed with the formalities for name transfer which is very simple and will take half a day to complete the registration work.
