Car Inspection after 3 years

I understand that a car need technical inpection, but when does the 3 years started from ? Is it from the model or when the car was first registered ? I have a 2007 Nissan model but bought it brand new on January 2008 (hence registered the car first time in 2008).

Thanks very the answer guys. Would anybody know where the nearest car inspection service in Doha ?the one in Lulu Center has closed.

it is on car model, if your car is model 2007 then you are free for inspection until this year 2009 even though it was brand new and registered last january 2008. by 2010 you are no longer free for inspection.
