Car ID Validity
Hi All,
On May 18, 2009, I bought used car from expatriat, model is 2006 and Isthimara expire on October 2009 (shown on front side)
But when I transfer the owner name, traffic Police issued new isthimara and changed the registration expire on May 17, 2010. But I founded on the back side expire is still same on October 2009.
1. Does it means my isthimara will be valid until May 17, 2010?
2. What is the expiry date on the backside? Is it insurance validity?
3. If I want to renew my insurance on October 2009, what is the procedur to get it renew? especially in QIC
Thank you and appreciate.
Regards,
Rizal

How to check validity of our car ID? I mean by Online Web.
Thnks
it is better to check with the Traffic Department..
This means that your car’s registration is valid until May 17, 2010. However, you must renew the insurance before or on October 2009. For cars older than 3years the insurance is only renewed after the technical inspection but in this case I guess you will only have to attach a copy of valid registration card. This sounds unusual, the registration expiry is not changed during name transfer.
