Are any other H3 owners experiencing this issue?
I got my first “Traction Failed Service Stability System” warning when my Hummer had about 5500km’s on it and immediately took it in to the Service Centre. I was told that this was a “software issue” and that they would look into it and I got the H3 back the next day and lo and behold I got the same “Traction Failed Service Stability System” warning again not even a day after that.
After kicking up a big stink about their service levels (I actually suspect that they did nothing about this issue the first time they took it in. Does anyone else feel that Hummer’s Service in Qatar is atrocious? I mean my recent 10 000km major service took 8 DAYS to complete!! Bloody ridiculous!!) they again took the H3 in and kept it with them for another day to check out the system etc. Got it back and that time everything was fine until just recently at 11300km when I again got the “Traction Failed Service Stability System” warning.
Now, when the warning does come up it normally flashes on the display for no more than 5 minutes and then goes away.
I can tell that the H3 doesn’t feel the same though once this warning has flashed (generally a more “leaning” feel around tight corners and not as stable feeling as usual) so it seems like every time the warning flashes that there is something wrong with the stability and traction control and that it is not just a computer glitch.
Any other Hummer owners out there experience this issue?
Thanks!
LJ
you should check for worn out stabiliser bars and control arm bushes. just in case..
H3/H2 reliabilty is always challenged...
to me, NISSAN RULEZZZ...
Hotfilipino - sounds like H3 runs MS windows ;o)
Reboot every 500km LOL
Get a Nissan - no such problems :o)
Mannai now has a mobile workshop... they can come to your place...4558000
Traction System Failed?
I think I have experienced this after I took an H3 to the sand dunes while my tires were deflated...
I went to an airpump station and there I switch off the engine for 5 sec, then I ignited the engine again... the "Traction System Failed" disappeared immediately.
Sometimes, minor warnings like this can be solved by minor troubleshooting and re-reading a manual.
that's what ya get for buying a damn hummer!! good grief- such a status/penis envy symbol!!
sometimes the warning indication flashes for a simple reason,as an example i noticed that in my fj cruiser the vsc (vhiecle stability control)is affected by the air pressure in the tires!!
so i advice you to read the user's manual, this maybe helpful
