Visa rules on runing a business while working
Hi
I am looking for some answers to couple of my questions:
I am here on work visa and my wife is under my sponsor.
1)can she start up a business under her own name. i.e 49% share in limited liabilty company.
2)During the intial stages of business untill it starts to generate reasonable profit, can she work for an employer on part time/full time basis
would like to know the visa rules on the above two, wonder if any one can shed some ligh on this.
many thanks in advance for your input
have a good day

Thanks A R Hussain

in relation to 2nd point on Ministry of labour work permit.

Can this be obtained even though she is under spouse sponsorship, does it normaly means that a husband needs to give some sort of no obejection letter for wife to take up an employment.

secodly if i understand it right, she can operate a business as usual i.e operate a business bank account and etc but wont be allowed to sign for any immigartion related matter such as application for work visas or exit visa.

regards

1)can she start up a business under her own name. i.e 49% share in limited liabilty company.

Yes she can with some limitations i.e will not be allowed to be an authorized signatory on the company's immigration dept authorised signatories card.

2)During the intial stages of business untill it starts to generate reasonable profit, can she work for an employer on part time/full time basis

Yes she can as long as she is holding the Ministy of Labor work permit.

I don't think a House Wife can do a business in Partnership with a Qatari (House wife is a dependant)She can work part time or full time if she can get the work permit.
