Good day to all QL members just want to ask regarding working permit because my wife is under my sponsorship under husband visa and she got hired from one of the construction company and my concern is if it is a requirement for her to get a working permit to the labor dept because when she ask the HR they dont need a working permit only the visa copy.thanks in advance

What if kabayan the HR told her only the NOC and visa copy is required and no need to apply for working permit because i think the company is the one who will apply for her working permit am i right? Thanks

Kabayan,

Since your wife's HR clearly states that they only requires her visa copy. I also presumed that if this is her first opportunity to work they also requested an NOC from you stating that you have allowed your wife to work with XXX company. This is a requirement by the labor department after that they will proceed with registering your wife under their work force but please remember that she is still under your sponsorship and maintain her status unless you agree to transfer her under the company's name.

Your wife should get a work permit from the Labour Department. Normally it should be arranged by the Compnay who hired her and for your information, it is taking a lot of time as our Company is trying to get work permits for some husband sponosored ladies.
