Work Visa Fiasco - Please help

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my work visa.

Last year, I worked in Qatar in the metro project (company A) from May 10th till September 11th. It was an internship and the contract was due to end in November 2014. I left in September to attend my graduation but couldn't come back because the company couldn't get me another business visa. I joined the company with a business visa, and while I was there they applied for a work visa (on May 26th). The visa stayed under process till it expired on November 22nd, and also afterwards. When I left the company didn't give me NOC or anything, but the contract did end on November.

Since, I found a job in another company, company B, still in Qatar. I signed an offer and when they tried to apply for my business visa they couldn't, because there is still the previous expired work visa under process, The people at MOI told HR that unless company A manage to retract this application, company B can't apply.

I have many questions and I hope you answer me as soon as possible please:

1- Is it necessary to have a NOC from the previous company? Because it was only an internship and the contract expired on November. and so did the work visa

2-How can we retract the previous work visa application? It is expired but still under process. Company A promised that they will do their best to retract it as soon as possible, but is it possible? What would they have to do? And will it take time?

If you can check in the moi website for visa application status, my passport number is RL2034647 and I'm Lebanese.

Can you please give me your opinion asap? Thank you!!
