Work Visa

There are multiple discussion topics on this but still could not refrain myself from asking.

I have an offer from leading IT Company (ACS) in Qatar and now awaiting my Visa for 1 week.

Is there any information how much (average) time does it take for Work Visa processing ? The information on this forum on same topic is 1 year old. So hoping for latest information on this subject.

Note: I am from India.

Regards

I am very pleased to say that my husband's visa has arrived. It took 9 weeks in total - I have been told that this is due to the sheer volume of applications and the pre Ramadan rush. We hope to arrive in Doha in June.

Good luck to all who are waiting for their visa; it really is a waiting game... :-)

Hi guys, I finally got the work visa today -- was appplied on 28th April. Took approx 4 working weeks in total!

My husband's visa was applied for at the end of March and we are still waiting... Even though he is to work for a Government organisation and is from the UK. It seems that there is an awful lot of waiting going on... :-(

Hi bawa_099, I am still waiting for my work visa by the way. Please let me know as soon as you receive yours, I will do the same.

As for your question, having trawled through hundreds of such threads, work visa rejections if you have a good sponsor seem very rare and more for people who have been in Qatar before and resulted in a 2-year ban from working (as a result of not getting NOC from previous employers).

Has anyone seen a situation where the Work Visa is rejected altogether ??

hi

of what i have heard and know that it takes about 3-5 weeks for the visa to arrive.

I am unsure that it happens in 7 days or less as mentioned in some posts above

Hi Davdav

My visa was applied on 21st April and till now there is no news. I have learnt from this forum that Visa Processing in Qatar is a totally unpredictable process with no committed timelines.

Only thing is to wait.

Hi bawa_099, please do update your status once your visa is approved. I am in a similar boat as yourself, my visa was applied the week of 29th April, and am still waiting..

If they do not have an approved Visa, then how much time does it take ?

@ Amercado..

And once you have an approved visa for the same nationality that is being applied, how long does it take ?

Hi, basically the company should get visa approval/allocation for Nationality before applying it to the person. Example, the company should have available Indian, Filipino, British, or Indonesian visa and then they can apply the available visa to Indonesian national. If the company has available Indonesian Visa and they want to hire an Indian National, they need to convert the available visa first and then once approve they can apply the visa. Thanks.

Hi

I believe ACS is a renowned company in Qatar.

I am told that the HR did not had a prior visa approval.

Any idea how much time does it take if the company does not have a prior visa approval?

Rgds
