What is the right visa to stay in qatar?

By mazira

Hi,

My husband started to work in qatar last week under work visa. currently he is in the process to apply residence permit.

According to the company he worked for, I can only join him after 6 months since he need 6 months bank statement to apply my visa.

Currently I am in Malaysia and planning to go there next month. May I know what is the suitable visa should i get and what are procedures to get it. Thanks.

Nobody knows why you are here. Only you (should) know why.

Yep Correct Mazira, as I had said. But others jump in to confirm what I already said.................maybe they didnt read my reply to you, and just read your post and comment.

Why go on about it, you have your answer.

The best option.

Ask your husband to apply for Visit Visa from Qatar.

Easy procedures.

Required Docs

1. Filled in form (should be available with Admin in company)

2. Copy of Marriage Certificate (should be attested by Qatar Embassy in Malaysia)

3. NOC letter from company, Original

4. Huss's Qatar ID, Original

5. Copy of your passport.

6. Copy of Lease contract for housing.

After all these docs, Go directly to MOI, apply, check approval status online after 1 day. if it approved, go again MOI and pay QR 200. Visa is ready.

This Visa is for Six Months. Listen, if you did all these procedures, it will be pretty easy to get permanent Visa since the same docs are required to get permanent one. One more thing, your huss doesn't has to do all these. Just ask admin in Company to get this, they will do it all. Dont forget to pay them some extra amount.

I did this procedure for my family.

I hope you will be coming with a credit card as cash will not be accepted at the Airport Immigration.

thanks all for the answers..

so, i can enter qatar by just bring my malaysian passport only... the visa on arrival i can get it at the airport immigration. pay 100 riyal for it and the visa will valid for 30 days.

then i will extend the visa for another 30 days before it expires (where can i do this process and how much do i have to pay?)

at the same time, we will work for family visit visa. (what are the requirement for family visit visa and how to get this done?). this family visit visa will valid up to 6 months.

by the time the family visa expired, my husband already have 6 months bank statement and we can now proceed with residence visa under his sponsorship.

is that right?

Hi Mazira, the best way to stay here is GET A VISA ON ARRIVAL, you can stay for 30 days and extendable for another 30 days. After 60 days travel to Dubai and come back again you will get another visa on arrival at Qatar Airport for 30 days. you can repeat as many as times until you get residence permit of your husband's sponsorship.

Another thing.

She may be able to apply for the 6 month visa also. She can get a visa on arrival and then take a medical and convert it to a 6 month visit visa that is for families!

anyone have any experience? do still need the 6 months bank statement for this also?

Malaysian get visa on arrival. Just get a photocopy of your husband work visa(In Case they ask) & your credit card- 100 Riyals for Visa on arrival. Your visa is valid for one month. It can be extended for another. After that you can go Dubai/Bahrain & come back on the same day to Qatar to get your visa extended here in Qatar.

Yes I am sure Malaysians get on arrival visa.

Here is the source http://www.qatarembassy.net/visa.asp

and I only state facts, otherwise I don't comment on posts I do not know anything about.

The visit visa is only valid 1 month with extention for one more month...... not 3.

Cheers

He can apply for a 3 months? visiting visa for you, while the 6 months are on-going. But he needs to finish his residence first.

until they get down with your husband's resident visa, first you can just come and you will get the upon arrival visa. It is good for 1 month upon arrival, and the extendable for 1 more month.

He can apply during this time you are here on upon arrival visa for a family visit visa that is good up to 6 months, until he has the 6 months bank statement to change you to the rp.

Cheers
