Visiting Qatar without NOC

Hi! My friend's position was made redundant and he had to leave Qatar. His company doesn't give him NOC. In this case is he allowed to visit Qatar just for vacations or on his way to another country, e.g. in case of stopover in Doha for 6-7 hours can he go out to the city or he will have to stay in the transit area all this time? Thanks.

Vignale, thanks a lot.

The Specialist: My friend has already left Qatar, and he didn't need NOC for that. The question was whether he could enter Qatar again without NOC, considering that the purpose of his visit would be just vacations or stopover on the way to another country. But I understood from Vignale's reply that he would still need an NOC from the previous Company to re-enter Qatar within 2 years after he left regardless of the purpose of his visit.

Anyway, thanks to everybody for answering.

To re-enter Qatar within 2 years after you left, you would need an NOC from the previous Company. This is clear.

What "the Specialist" writes is not Correct, you do not need an NOC to leave the Country
