Visit Visa for Brother-in-law

Hi there. Please help me know if I would be allowed by Qatar Immigration Department to sponsor a Brother-in-law for a visit visa (two weeks visit only). That person is a husband of my wife's sister.

Yes of course, it depends on the visitor's citizenship. I was flippant and jumped the gun (and made assumptions based on the seeming "Scottish" heritage of McMark's handle).

You're right, I'm wrong, I'm sorry.

I applied for tourist visa two days ago. It is tough if you are not applying for close relative. But you can try.

Wizmotre, you are not right on it. Some 33 countries belong to that catagory only.

Its better to check with immigration. Here is a useful link

Zoso, did you apply for the visa of your in-laws(brother-in-law/sister-in-laws)? Because in my case, i would want to apply visa for the husband of my wife's sister? I feel this is really tough. Were you able to get visa? Thank you for the information.

I think china is not on "on arrival visa " list... you can apply for a family visit visa for you brother in law at the immigration, you need to attach you wife's and yours passport copies with marriage certificate... that's it...

Just enquire more details from your company's immigation representative (mandoob)

...You can't mean what you say unless you can say what you mean...

visa on arrival would be only for certain nationality. Pls double check with the immigration.

A visitor doesn't need a sponsor. As posted on other forum topics, a visitor would (worst case) only need a place to stay and a return ticket out of the country. Visa is payable upon arrival with a standard credit card (MC or Visa). No cash allowed (anti-corruption rules).
