Visa Transfer for QP Ex-Employees

By PearlQ

This post is for X-QP (Qatar Petroleum) employees only. Others please excuse..

Any luck in getting your visa transferred to any other employer in Qatar?

Anybody left Qatar and returned with work/business visa and processed RP successfully?

Please advice the procedure and time required. Any reason why MOI is not transferring the visa?

Thanks in advance.

Why can't you take a hint. If the government doesn't want you to stay , they can use any means .... As they are doing

Britexpat: With due respect, I think you miss the point. You mentioned that ".....as long as needed..." In the same country if one company lays you off but there is another company hiring you that means you are needed (first company has provided NOC too!!). So my concern is why MOI rejecting the visa transfer? They can say it is our choice and please leave. Just wanted to know if that is the answer or something has changed. By the way if GCC does not require our expertise they will not hire us and if we do not need the money then we will not go there. It is just give and take buddy.....

PearlQ: I understand what you are saying. But!

I have worked as an expat in many countries around the world.

We expats realise that our tenures are temporary- as long as needed by the host country. Yet, only in the GCC people assume that they 'should' be allowed to stay forever ... Why is that ?

Britexpat...good comment..remember Brit rule is history now...

Molten Metal: Of course people will try other places. But there are some people who got other jobs in Qatar but MOI rejected transfer of RP without siting any reason. These people are with their family and kids in school. Hope you will understand what I am getting at.

Adil: As you said rightly nobody will get more or less then what has been set for them. Who sets it? Your own deed and nobody else...

Cheers guys.. in case you get any new information do post it for the benefit of others.

Best of luck!

But it's not fair to not transfer release visa to another sponser in Qatar, yes it is mainly only for QP employees.

No one knows actual reason just firing in the air of castle.

If some one is taking very high salary or benefits in QP that is their luck. We should not be jealous on it.

This is by God only to decide who will get less or who will get more!

My friends also having same problem in Qatar.
