Can I obtain a 48-hour visa from the airport? or i must ask someone in Qatar to send me a visa? I have a Lebanese passport.

It does matter which nationality you are. Not all nationalities have on arrival visa in the middle east. It all depends on diplomatic ties. Best is to call qatar embassy in our country.

I forgot to tell you that they bought it while going through customs here in qatar airport.

I don't think that it matters what your nationality is, when I came here I already had a work visa set up for me. My coworkers however had to buy a tourist visa that is good for a week for 100 riyals.
