Tourist Visa Is Totally Different from Visit Visa. Intially Vist Visa Is Valid For A Month And Once You Cleared The Medical It Is Extended For 5 More Months And The Extension Fee Is 200 QAR Per Month. It Is Not Compulsory To Extend It For 5 Months, You Can Extend It For A Month And Then Get It Extended For 4 Months It Is Up To You.

Tourist Visa Is Valid For 14 Days And Further

Extended For 14 Days If I Am Not Wrong. Visit Visa Is Also Called Family Visa.

visit and family visit visa are different, visit visa can not be extended but family visa can extend up to 5 months, for visit visa perosn dont required medical here in qatar but family visit visa required medical and then immigration provide another 5 months.

if u r on tourist visa or on visit visa or on business visa you dont required to go for medical, medical only required when u r going to get resident permit or working visa or family visit visa (family visa valid for 6 months) then only you need to go for medical. toursit and visit visa can not be extended. it can only re-issue after person will exit.

hope this information will be enough for everyone...

in our case, since we always get visit visa in Al Khor, that's where we go for the medical exam too.. it costs 100 QR.. what we do, we go to the Al Khor immigration department first to have our application form filled-up (typewritten), then we proceed to the medical commission which is near the immigration office, hand them the application form, pay 100 QR and proceed to do the blood test and then the x-ray..

you just go to the Medical commission (with complete forms of course) for the medical exam, usually takes few days for the result to come out,. if all is clear, proceed to the immigration dept for the visa extension..
