I am a hotel management graduate, but came to qatar on a driver visa on the promise that it will be changed after 6 months, but nothing happened, hence I resigned and they cancelled my visa and I am now in my home country. However, they have issued me an NOC, but when I applied for a job in a reputed company with a copy of NOC this is what I got in reply

(((("""Please be advised that we will not be able to pursue the subject candidate’s employment as his ex-sponsor was a person & not a company. Accordingly, he will not be able to enter Qatar on a company’s sponsorship until July 29th, 2011 as he has a two year ban""""""))))

Please let me know what you think of this.

When you came to Qatar, you should be aware that your visa is personal, under which, after six months, that NOC issued to you is called "Tahsera" but before you were given that you must have a new employer already to take over for the transfer of your visa, why did you go out the country? You have NOC, you can transfer to other employment...but now that you went out of the country, with cancelled visa, you need to approach your old sponsor to lift up the ban...and come back with all your expenses and should come with ready employment.Someone should talk to your sponsor before coming back to clear all things out.

A big thanks to all of you for prompt replies. When I enquired about this elsewhere, I got both yes and no, still confused; some people say personal visa has a 2-year ban in spite of having NOC, while others say with NOC there will be no problem---

I Dont Know what to say but im very disappointed to hear your story. This is the worest form of modern slavery and totally against humanism. But Here Qatar Gov already did very good for this country thats why its economy is strong and its an established country and i was reading an article in a newspaper that they are also thinking to do same as bahrain and kuait did. Im sure many peoples like you get rid of this problem soon.

my friend,

if your visa already canceled and you have NOC from your old sponsor whatever it was a person or a company residency, you can come back to Qatar any time using that NOC.

all you have to do is;

to send your NOC & copy of ID of your old sponsor to the new company then they have to apply it in immigration after they issue an aproval form for you called (exception form).

Regards,

Basem

yeah its mean that u were sponsored by person (qatari). ur visa sponsor is a prson not a compnay . so that is why it is rule that u have to stay 2 years with the person and then sponsor changed. thats why they put ban on ur visa , u have to complete that time period and aftre thta u will get new visa . in this case u cnat do anything . u have to wait to complete that time period.
