My relative wants to travel from Saudia to celebrate Eid here in Doha with us. his profession is not a problem, but i have been told that they have stopped issuing visas at doha border since the last two weeks(confirmed twice from doha embassy at Riyadh). is that common prior to Eid.
any body has any info on this matter pls share.

Whether this practice is common prior to eid is not important. What's important is for you to find out if they will allow this travel just before eid, else you have to figure out another way of getting your relative here.

Moreover you need to check with the embassy here for accurate information.
