yes.revas is correct..just arrived from a weekend visit in UAE. i arrived in abu dhabi airport and paid 100 dirhams. they issued a visa upon arrival with 1 month validity and u can extend for another month.hope it this information will help u.
As for your 2nd question, you need to apply for an extension for her first before the expiry date. You need to show proof of you marriage certificate.
Why not you try applying for her through your company for an Residence Permit instead. Future visit from her can save the money and time. Her RP will be dependable on yours anyway.

I reckon 30 days too. But she can go immigration to try extend for a small fee for another 2 weeks but I think only once; like in Qatar.
Perhaps you can check with the consulate or embassy of any UAE.
