Tourist Visit Visa - NAIA requirements?
Hi All
Finally managed to get a 30day Tourist Visit Visa for my wife and baby daughter, which is now in my hands. My wife and baby are on Philippines passports and i am on UK passport and we are making ready to travel together from Manila to Doha on Qatar airways.
I have heard that maybe the tourist visit visas need to be authenticated at the Qatar Embassy in Manila, can anyone confirm this for me please? If this is the case then i will need to postpone our flights for another 7 to 10 days and sit here in Mindanao enjoying the lechon n SMB!!!!
Please let me know if anyone has any up to date information.

Hi Saisi I just sent away the tourist visit visas for my wife and baby yesterday by DHL - the requirement for that was: 2x2 white background fotos - 2 pieces each3 copies of visa notification2 copies each of front foto page of passport and back page pf passport showing the barcodePHP 2550 per application - 7 working days turnaround in Mindanao5 days turnaround in Luzon The embassy told me that they only require the NBI Red Ribbon clearance if you are sending a Working Visa for authentication. However, we are yet to exit via NAIA!!!!! Hope this helps

As for the NBI clearance red ribbon document i am sure that this would apply for a working or business visit visa i dont think it would be a requirement for a tourist visit visa. I had called the QE and they confirmed that i needed copy of the Visa print off + original passport + 2 fotos (2x2) with white background but i hadnt checked if that was for a tourist visit / family visit / work visa etc.

check as well if the new rule in the visa aunthentication applies to tourist visa. this rule started 4 weeks back. nbi clearance in red ribbon is needed for visa authentication in qatar embassy. dhl can also do the dfa red ribbon authentication in 5-7 working days... if your wife doesn't have an nbi clearance she needs to apply for one. unfortunately nbi clearance will take a month before release.
yes you have to send that for authentication to qatar embassy in manila..wherever you are in philippines only DHL is authorize to take that to QE..just simply bring the copy of visa and the original passport of the visa holder to DHL, they knew already how to do it. it will take 5-6 working days before you gets back the passport the fees is Php2,500...enjoy i am from mindanao as well.
