Sorry Guys if I am writing in our own language, because this is obvious that i am just addressing the question to my kabayan...Anyway, the reason why i want to bring them here on a family visit visa first, for them to be able to come here for the SY 2010 (PSD). I just came here a month ago, and my Residence visa was only process, few days back. If i will have to bring them on a family visa then i have to wait until i got atleast 3 mos. bank statement. right? so that's the easy option, to bring them here on a visit visa, and then they can go to school this june while their family visa is still on-process.

Come to think of it kabayan family visit visa is valid for one month and can be extend up to maximum 5 months as u told you want to enroll your children here in doha and probably you want to change family visit visa to residence visa right? but its to risky kabayan i think it is better to apply directly for a family residence instead of family visit visa to make sure that they can stay here for the whole school year, make a step one at a time kabayan, hope it helps. goodluck

I think there is another forum where you can post your vernacular language. This is an international forum where you should use only English.

Hope this help. These are the things i did when i got a visit visa for my wife.

1. Documents:

a. Red ribbon Marriage contract, then went to Phil embassy for attestation. (100 riyals)

b. NOC from my employer.

c. Passport copy of wife.

d. My PP, and ID copy.

2. Went to immigration, went to typing booth for Application (paid 5 riyals.)

3. Went inside building No. 4, to reception for the queue number. Paid 200 riyals for one month stay.

4. Waited for 2 working days then print the visa copy online.

Am not sure how long you should be a resident to get one. In my case, i got the wife visit visa on my 5th month of residency. Salary? I have no idea of the minimum requirement.

Cheers Kabayan!
