regarding No Objection Letter (NOC)

Hi guys,

I've been pondering about this and I do not really know which one is which. Maybe some of you can clarify this for me.

I'm resigning from my current employer and I have this 3 months resignation notice. My employer have agreed to give out an NOC.

My question is, can I be in Qatar on a Family Visit Visa first after I get my NOC?..

I hope you guys can shed some light into this, I will appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

Yes the difference is NOC is at the mercy of your Employer

A p45 is a pink (hence p) peice of paper (form 45 - hence 45) that you get in the UK when you quit your job that your employer legally has to give you and allows your next employer to registry you on their books - sort of opposite to the way things are done here....

No. For this type of Visa NOC is not required. As far as I know.

I really didn't get you. but the meaning of P45 is- It is an Oil Extracting Vessel owned by Petrobrass of Brazil and deployed in the North Sea. I was a part of the team that built it.

Some people are getting the NOC upon request (Kind Employers) and they move on to the next job without much problems.

I don't know if you know the relevance of a P45..... in this current context.

Yes you can't demand a NOC cause your only a staff number nothing else, not a human being. Long way from democracy but heho they pay better....

You have no right to demand a NOC from your employer. It is at the sole authority of your sponcer. If the current employer doesn't issue a NOC for you, you have no choice just pack and go for 2 years.

What if the current employer will not issue NOC? The employee have the right to demand for it or not?

Thank you very much.

So basically I can be applied for a visit visa or be on any other visa as long as I have my NOC. Right? Sounds simple enough.

Because I'll be actually taking some time off, maybe a month or two to prepare and file an application for a graduate program. Which is why I was asking if I can be applied for a family visit visa (for the meantime) without problems after I get my NOC. Then look for my next job afterwards..

With the NOC you new company will apply for a new family visa on their sponcership. you can be here and work for your new employer until the new RP is issued.

If you have a NOC you can get back on another business visa, so why you shouldnt be allowed to come on a family visa?

i think the question should be, if you were NOT given an NOC, can you return on a family visa? as for sure without a NOC you can not return on a business visa.

Can't really help you exactly but....

I heard a great story about a bloke in your situation that came back in on a hol visit and when he tried to leave again thety said he needed a exit letter from his old company - who apparently had not cancelled his RP..... TIQ.. so he had to get one even thought he didnt work for them anymore..... cause a bit of a fuss.
