Our original plan is KSA (Dubbah port) but the last ship have gone before we arrive, and it is Eid the next day so we have to wait 3 more days. So we decided to go to Al Akkabah ( jordan port).

What I'm saying the cost at Dubaah is more but you have 2 option there, the cheapest takes more time in the sea. And around 500km from egypt port to main cairo.

But in Al akabaah there is only one choice of Ship and more fast and 400km to main cairo.

The fare for big Suv will cost you around $200 dollar or more.

The cost And fare I given you is last 2012, but it will not increase that much but at least you have idea. Hope you were enlighten. If you have more question, I'm happy to help.

qouted

Installment car-go to bank for some papers.

Jordanian port to egypt port around 4-5 hours

Have your car check and ready like spare tire and emergency equipment that you may need in the road.

Hello hope this help:

Visa is base on your nationality at its easy check in the web or Mr. Google.

Triptek- make it here in Doha as it will protect you from other country costum. And if your car is not in your name you needed to a paper signed by a judge as aguarantee. And if installment go to back to bring papers or ask as still not so sure as our car is in my husband name no hassle at all. And if it's your first time it's more good to have a navigator and ask in the triptek if they can set it for you.

If you will go port in Dubhaa Saudi it's more expensive as they have 2 types of ship or boat. 1-take 4 hours more expensive , 2-take 10 hours or more as its more cheap.

But if yo go Al akhabaa( Jordanian port) as per our experience-

Car fare cost $150-200

Persons fare-$50-90

fare is excactly the same or you can make it two way ticket in the first place ( I suggest make it two way, to save you trouble going to offices in Egypt).

---Have your visa if your planning thru Jordan--

When you reach Egypt port- plate, insurance and fire protection etc. Around 1-2 thousand pound, so it's more smart to have cash egyptian pound on your way( but be smart as there is many people very tricky have your wife handled it as she know the type of people)

You might prepare this as well:

Soap and water in your car for kids emergencies. (It make me smile as I remember my 6months son)

Flashlight and flask to keep you awake (tea or coffee)

Road is really dark so if your sleepy head person stay in hotel there are too may in the road of Saudi.

Public toilets in stop or rest is really not clean.

Eats and basic stuff is really cheap in Saudi especially if you buy it in supermarket (not in small stalls like Bakalas)

Bring something too keep your kids entertain as its a long journey.

(If you have a big car keep them restrained (car seat) for safety.

Prepare sanitizer and emergency kit for your safety like Mers Virus.

Take care of your kids when you stay in stops as there is some stops really crowded (people who go to Umrahh and delivery trucks is the common)

GOODLUCK HOPE IT WILL HELP
