Hello,

I'm working here in Qatar turning 5 yrs on November this year and was recently get married last March 2010.

My wife previously work here in Qatar too, I'm planning to bring her and our baby here. I just want to know what will be the procedures and requirements that I need to bring them both.

Can someone give me an idea about bringing them here under my sponsorship as husband and father?

Thanks, hoping for someone to give me some ideas.

@samerelaian may I ask I had been here in Qatar for almost 6 years. I got terminated from my job as a restaurant supervisor due to redundancy of my position and in additional I am pregnant.

We would like to transfer my sponsorship under my husband. His salary is 16thou including all his benefits (housing, transpo) but his profession on his QID is a cook. He was rejected to be given a drivers license because of that. He was advice to request to change is profession in order to get the license.

I sent an email to our company HR asking him if we can start to request to transfer my sponsorship under my husband and he advised to wait until the profession is changed.

I have read some posts in Qatar Living that changing profession takes time. I have limited time until March 21 only.

I am really worried because I don't want to be separated from my husband.

I would like to ask if how long it takes to finish the changing profession process?

Also there are some offer from some people that they can provide someone who can take my sponsorship for the meantime but I don't have idea how much it will cost.

@ kgbp

Family visit visa is different from husband visa.

For family visit visa, salary should be at least 5,000qr. Requirements should be:

1. Salary certificate from your company

2. NOC from your company, detailing that it is ok with them that you'll sponsor your wife.

3. Copy of work contract, stating your position or profession.

4. Copy of your passport and QID.

5. Copy of your wife's passport

6. Copy of your marriage certificate, duly authenticated by your embassy and Qatar foreign affairs.

Payment is only 200qr, and will take 3 days to process. This is good only for 6 months.

8k included everything or it should be 8K plus allowances? How much is the cost for the processing of family visit visa and what are the requirements? Thanks in advance

Batubalani, salary should be 8k above that's as of current period. Maybe the 7000-7500 is last years one. Anyway, thank for the reply at least I'll have idea and won't be wasting time filing or applying. Maybe by Nov I'll be eligible with that. Cheers.

Thanks for your reply, do you have any idea how much will be the salary bracket? Someone says 7000 above will be okay someone says 7500 above then now 8000, maybe next time it will be 8500 for sure. Anyway thanks for your reply and I really appreciate it.

first of all, your salary must be QR8,000 and above, before applying a visa for your wife and son.
