Hi,

I have to travel to Dubai soon. I know earlier the There was no restriction for Visas for Canadians. Then I heard Canadians have some sort of restrictions.

Can some one help advise as to what is the procedure of getting visitor visa to UAE if you are a Canadian?

Thanks for your help in advance !

I am Canadian and went to Dubai a few weeks ago.  I was able to get a Visa on Arrival.  However, it was because I was a resident of a GCC country AND because my job title on my RP card was on the list of 31 job titles that are allowed for Canadians to get Visa on arrival.  The cost was only 185 AED. Best you contact the UAE Embassy here to double check if you are able to, if not you may just have to get the visa prior, and depending on the airline you take (Emirates offers the services, Qatar Airways does not) you can do it easily.  Most hotels in UAE will offer the service but charge a ridiculous rate, so try to avoid this route.  Hope this helps!
