Do I have the right to change my visa?
I asked my GM to give me NOC to transfer my visa from company to husband/family visa.Unfortunately, he answer me with a big 'NO'.But before I discuss this matter to him, I spoke first to our HR Manager and he guaranteed me that our company can provide NOC.The problem is don't know now which decision should prevail.Do I have really the right to change my visa or it's still depend on their decision?

5 Year thing is a proposal only, not yet the rule! Am I correct ?
I did the same thing like Katie said: I resigned and came back on family visa after 1 month and half and everything was ok. Just be careful in case you would like to find another job, Labour Dept. will not give you the approve before 2 years from the resigning date. But at least you can be here with your family! :) Good luck!
Quit the job and cancel your employment visa from the company, go back home for a while and come back on you hus visa a resident. There won't be any problem and the 2 year ban doesn't applicable to your case.
