Both are same my friend,

Work visa means, IF i issued one visa for you with the validiy of 3 months you can stay here in Qatar.

Within this 3 months, you have to finish your medical and finger print tests, for the purpose of Work visa/Residence permit stamping on your passport, which will be valid for one yeat or two year.

it's not clear.

what do you mean:"work visa will issued for 3 months and then it will be processed"... proceeded what?

Normal practice is issuing a work visa first, to make sure that the certain title, nationality and gender for the particular Company are approved by the Government. Then based on this Work Visa the Residence Permit for the particular person is issued, so that this person could reside long time in Qatar legally.

the work visit visa is valid for 3 months...this is the kind of visa which employers use initialy to bring the staff after he/she has been selected.........once the person land here in qatar and completes his medical test then the company applies for work visa/residence permit which is valid for 2 years.
