I have settled in Qatar with my family. My wife has got RP and she has gone back to india from Qatar to take treatment 2 months back due to maternal problems. She will not be able to enter Qatar with in 6 months. Is it possible for her to extend the visa from india after 6 months??

Well according to my knowledge with the immigration rules and regulations I would suggest that you have to apply for your wife a re-entry visa through immigration not in the airport. They will provide you a re-entry visa for a miximum period of 45 days. Then you can send a copy of re-entry visa to her so that in the airport she will not have any problems.

But as rules changes every time its better to bring her to qatar and if she wants she can trave back after a week stay in qatar where your old visa gets into live without expirying (as she overstayed outside of Qatar for a period of six months).

Thank you

Well, I have paid penalty of QR. 500/- and took extension for further 6 months from Airport Immigration in the year 2006 for my wife. But, I do not think they are allowing these days as it was rejected in many cases. Anyway, please do visit Airport Immigration for the latest update. Best of Luck.

yes, you can do this by paying a charge of QR 500. Then the immigraition people will give you a paper. You may send the fotocopy of this paper to your wife.

in this case, she need not fly back to Qatar, at the end of 6 months, , But she should come before the expiry of 12 months of her exit, or beofre the expiry of her reisdent visa, whichever is earlier,

when she fly back to Qatar, she has to carry the above paper, which says she is legally eligible to enter Qatar
