Tamnia,

it seems our paths at this time are going in sync.

I have been going through the exact same case. I am Canadian btw.. I got an offer to work in Doha .. and as you did, they only ask for my passport copy ..and said it will be fine ..

and two days again they said (The sponsor told them that I am blacklisted or rejected for any Kind of Visa )

I have never been IN Qatar; I insisted they try to check for mistakes or name similarities *(am or arabic origin) they took another three days and came back today with same answer..

I dont know how this works; but certainley something is not quite rigth.. I.e. people lifes are not jokes..

I ahve a family to provide to, and when they got me the contract here, they asked me to join ASAP so I had to resign from my work .. and now .. ??? yes you guessed .. good luck chuck !

I dont think anyone here can help you although alot of nice folks around they try to make it easier on you, but no one is feeling you but yourself. .. I suggest if you have means to talk to a Qatari embassy in your country then do .. this is what I am going to try now.

good luck.

thanks for all yr answeres. but still i didnt find the way :) i can not come to immigration office or contact them by myself since a) im not in qatar, b) it was not me who applied for visa, it was a company. and when i asked HR officer about the reason of visa rejection, she said: WE DONT KNOW :( may b this company is really black-listed...but how can i know it? r those companies' names listed somewhere? in a case my nationality is not welcomed in qatar, where or how can i learn abt it? concerning my ID no and 2 years...i never been to qatar or any of the gulf contries b4. but looks strange to me that the company applied only with my passport copy... is it normal? sorry, so many questions... just want to understand wt have happened. how comes the company said: dont worry everything ll b ok, leave yr job and get ready to come to doha, yr visa ll b OK...and after quitting my job...sorry, NO VISA

The ministry rejecting the issuance of new visa or visa renewal either of the following cases arises details below;

1. Your sponsor has been black listed in getting or renewing the visa for their company ( violating labour code.)

2. You're nationality is not priority at this moment of time to stay or enter the state.

3. Lack of supporting documents submitted by your sponsor.

According to the news bulletin of the labour ministry they have just suspended 163 firms for violating the labour code of the state.

Yeah its easy to know the reason, they are very helpful there in immigration. The reasons such as previous ID no & not completed 2years or having already valid visa of another sponser, or some nationalities not welcome here at all.
