Most of the places I visited offered good value for money and more variety. When you travel with your family which includes kids. They like to see a lot of places. How long can you be entertained with the same old lakes, mountain ranges and valleys? Say for example Mysore, Karnataka. You start with the palaces, zoo, ancient temples, Buddhist monasteries, waterfalls, dams with huge gardens, museums, jungle safaris, hill stations, coffee estates, flowing rivers etc. Just hire a car and drive all around the state with excellent road and rail connectivity. I am talking about variety and value for money.
