You may find the following suggestions very useful in ensuring that you pass the PMP certification exam (PMI) in your first attempt.
- Try to understand each of the 47 processes (from PMBOK version 5) and understand how they get used during managing a Project. And, keep to minimum the things you just have to memorize
- I suppose you are reading one good book like: Rita Mulcahy, Headfirst PMP, Andy Crowe, Kim Heldman. Try to read the same book atleast three times (most of the students who pass the exam the first time do this as a default)
- When you practice questions and answers, read also the explanations for the questions you answered correct. The explanations may give you more insights
- Practice atlest 2-4 full mock exams (4 hours) from some good sources. Visit the following link for some recommendations on good resources http://www.watershedpm.com/wpm/pmp-training-and-coaching-using-pmi-pmbok...
- Consider yourself ready for the exam only when you score around 80% consistently in atleast 2-4 full mock exams
