HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY TO ALL!!! ^_^

THE EASTER BUNNY. This is, hands down, the cutest Easter symbol. Though the Bible doesn't mention this creature, rabbits are seen as representations of fertility and new life. According to various sources, the use of the rabbit for Easter may have originated in the 1700s, among German immigrants in America. Apparently, they believed in a mythical rabbit that laid multicolored eggs.

EGGS. The Bible always refer to bread, fish, and wine. Eggs are not mentioned much. Nevertheless, the egg is an ancient symbol of new life. As such, they're also said to represent Jesus' resurrection. The tradition of highlighting Easter eggs may have started in the 13th century

CANDY. In other countries, much emphasis is also given to the giving of sweet treats on Easter. Traditionally, the treats are "chocolate eggs" or simply chocolate shaped like eggs. This tradition is believed to have started in the 19th century in Europe.
