self supporting myself (and my siblings) to school. 29 years later, still doing the same thing. :)
When I got married, my husband want me to be a "house"-wife. I would love to do just that...but then I got my 2 kids to support to school and I don't want to be FINANCIALLY DEPENDENT to my husband. So, I kept my job.
Besides, he works offshore for 5 weeks and 1 week he spends time with his 2 kids an grandchildren...and comes home to me. That's how it'll be for the next year or two until we're both financially stable and retire.
Bottom line, it still a decision to be made by the couple that would work for their relationship.
