Thank you for this, in the letter an noc will be issued, so this not an issue, however my present employer would rather have me out of the office, as he needs the desk space and he has no work for me anyway.

So the idea was to start employment with a new employer now, during the notice period, so I don't stay home getting bored and watching tv.
