If you ever get bored and want to go fishing, just start a thread about alcohol on here, it doesn't take long for people to start biting!
The way I see it is that we just like different things. On a weekend evening back in our countries, people are going out, queuing up to get into bars/clubs to drink and socialize. Here, people queue up to get into shopping malls to shop and socialize. So we are quite similar in ways!
I must admit, I do find it quite amusing when you see a local in national dress with prayer beads in one hand and a pint in another ogling at all the girls in short skirts.
Anyway, back to the main topic, I am going going out for a few drinks tonight. Will ring a couple of hotels beforehand to make sure they are back to normal first.
