It would be good to have a no fly zone over Syria now but that would not happen anytime soon as it really takes a long time to set up no fly zones over Syria, a sovereign country (just like in Libya). First, they have to get UN Security Council to pass a resolution or else the no fly zone could be regarded as illegal. This resolution would most likely be shot down by Russia and China (both using veto powers). Secondly, they would have to get permission to set up bases or to use bases (in neighbouring countries to Syria), coordinate supplies and start dealing with the complexity of integrating the joint multinational forces to enforce a no fly zone over Syria. In the meantime, other than moral support here for the Syrian people and the refugees from this war, I'm sure donations to Qatar Charity or Qatar Red Crescent funds for Syrian relief to provide food, medicine and other living essentials would be highly appreciated.
