Hi Cat_bambi & Cyprusgirl
I've received my e-tickets and work visa but have heard very little about housing. All I know is that teachers are housed on a compound in Al Khor which is 15 mins or so from the community. Also it is villa housing, at least for married teachers like me. Each compound has a pool and clubhouse complete with gym. The villas are furnished with temporary furniture until you get your furniture allowance which I think is at the end of September. White goods are included in the villa - cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer plus possibly a dishwasher but to be confirmed.
