I have two children at Sherborne.  I enrolled them the first year it started up in Doha, and I can honestly say it has been getting better all the time.  Its teething problems were minor relative to other new schools here.  Communication with parents is frequent and very respectful, and the teachers are eager to help.  There is also a lot of focus on extracurricular activities, sports and music.  My son and daughter are very happy there.

I do wish you well in this important decision, but I must say that the tone of this thread has been somewhat hurtful.  I am a western-educated Arab, and I cannot help but feel that there is an offensive implication that mixing with Arab children is undesired or that they lower the standard of the schools they're in.  I find the notion of "international schools" without Arab students very strange.  Arab IS part of international, you know.

Good luck to your children.  The school experience is very important to their adjustment in a new country, and I hope they enjoy Sherborne.
