Here is a scale to tell you where you likely rate

1- don't know how to properly pass, set, or spike, unaware of rotation, and just hit the ball.
2- Can pass, but not able to set or spike, understand rotation, but not the use of three hits per side.
3- Can pass and hit, but not set, will tend to hit over on second hit if the chance is given, does not understand the competitive advantage of using 3 hits for control of the game.
4. Can pass, bump, set,and hit, but cannot "hit down", and maybe able to block.
5. Can Pass, Set, Hit, Block, and understands the difference between a 5/1, 6/2 or front setter setting.
6. Can Pass, Set, Hit, Block, and Set as a dedicated setter with basic knowledge of setting a 2,4,5.
7. Has advanced hitting skills,meaning hitting 1,2,3,4,5,10 can dig a hard driven ball, assists setter when they are need of help, and can scramble to get any hard driven ball or dink.
8. Can do all these things and played at the College Level, Can also jump serve with accuracy and speed, knows plays, and patterns.
9. Played as a starter at Division 1 level School, ie UCLA, USC, STANFORD, ASU.
10. PROFESSIONAL, not open, not AAA, an actual card carrying AVP player, or Olympic Athelete.
