For the American businessman Doha is a friendly and honest place to operate. I have met with folks who labor in the sun all the way through Royals, an all are polite welcoming and inviting. If Qatar had nothing more than the friendly approach they use in business that would still keep me here. I can make just as much running projects in Saudi, Kuwait, or Iraq, but the only real risk in Qatar is heat stroke and dehydration for the unprepared. I cannot say the same for all areas in the Gulf. The culture is rich here, the Qatari people that I have met have asked of me only that I learn Arabic to better understand how thing are done here. Anyone who thinks a country who went from one of the poorest to the richest has overlooked an important fact. In order to harness and retain great wealth, great wisdom is necessary. To be poor and wise, that is hard work, but to then handle sudden great wealth also, most stories like this would have already ended in someone taking everything away. That part o the culture could have it's own museum.
