I think we can counter such behavior and attitude if we deal with it professionaly and with understanding. most of the reasons why they act this way is mentioned many times above. But as a fellow filipino i think it would be better to just understand and wag na patulan. We'll be a better person than we were after such encounter.
I just hope that whoever is guilty of such, may realize that when something terrible happens or somebody does you wrong the only relief you can think of is when you see a fellow filipino. And when you are at that desperate moment it may not matter to you if he's just a driver, a laborer, or a waiter. You trust him or her coz he or she is a filipino.
