They have revoked a law that was rarely enforced in the first place, and hardly anyone knew that it even existed. The only time it was used was when the cops wanted to extort a bribe from some poor old bugger who loved to take it from behind. LOL!
The next logical step would be to legalize prostitution. Sex workers are the most harassed class in India with almost non existent labour rights and protection.
PS: In the 2009 election a transsexual candidate ran for MP. Next time around expect some gays and lesbians to run for president. :-)
