Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure if I should try to negotiate for higher basic salary off the bat or if the allowances on top made this ok. I just don't want to move into something where I will be living beneath my current means and there is so much internet talk about the HIGH cost living.. it's a bit intimidating!
