C2D - I would Love to... I have learned so much about the Islam and Christianity here.. time to return some favour...

There are many Gods in Hinduism... true,,,
Total number 3.3 Billion of them...

AS I told you Hinduism is quite flexible.. even in terms of prayers... This is shared with you in brief in few posts above by me for Adey...

I would focus on multiple Gods philosophy here...
The Reason and the Need...
Of course there is only One God... when you say supreme power... how can there many multiple supreme powers????

But different Gods signify different aspects of a God...
There is Lord Shiva.. known to be God of True seekers. for eternal Happiness...
Goddess Laxmi - For materialistic desires like money luxury etc..
Goddess Saraswati - For intelligence
Goddess Anapurna - For Food
And the list shall go on and on and on...

You name the human need and you have God or Goddess giving you tht is you ask for it to him/her.

Now why this?
Reason for this can be ( I say "can be" bcoz this is my understanding of Hinduism.. I could be wrong and apologize if any mistake committed.... or any body hurt.. as all religions are about love and motivation.. Hinduism is no exception to it) when you pray to that God, your thoughts and energy are focussed on tht particular wish or desire you have.. Science says as your more number of thoughts and energy are drawn towards a issue, probability of getting the solution enhances...

And Talking about the Physiological comfort... you feel you have asked the right man for the right problem so Solution is rest assured.... He is God dedicated for this particular Job....

Of course it is one God only... jus different images...
You can also see this when there is also Hierarchy in Gods... There is main God... who is suppose to take three forms,,, main one.. as
1. Creator
2. Sustainer
3. Destroyer...

And all other Gods are placed under them..
And no body feels inferior to other if your favorite deity is not the top most one.. thts Beautiful....

And it these Idols and Many Gods are not the destination of a Seeker...
It is through them one reaches God....

C2D hope this was convincing enough.....
