It is up to the owner of any bar whether or not someone gets in or not, I know the Garveys and they are certainly not the racists that some posting on here would have you believe.
I am from UK and my wife is not she has a different passport and is not white, but I have a family membership so she is entitled to go in, as are manyb other members wife/husband DUH!
The place was originally for Europeans and the licence conditions reflected this, times have changed and there are a lot more foreigners here now, but at the end of the day they have every right to refuse admission to NON members.
I have read and heard many of the rumours circulating, none of which are true, I myself was at a party at the Sharq on New Years eve, they had a full blown party, live band, alcohol on sale etc etc, the police never went there and shut that down or arrested the owner and staff, I wonder why.
Lets wait and see what happens, they have done nothing wrong, are Legally allowed to open and will re-open soon.

If you dont like the place, then don't go, you wont be missed by those that enjoy going there. If you would like to go then do what the rest of us do to gaurantee entry PAY for a membership
