Guys, this is all fasinating me, as a "questioning Christian" I do agree that there are inconsistences in the Bible but I am still, basically a believer and I understand the nuts and bolts of a person who has salvation, not through good works but through the free redemtion qualities of Christ paying the ultimate price of being without sin and yet giving his life for mine.
My Question is, as simply as you can please, because I have to admit to only haveing read a little of the Qu'ran, what is the basi fundamental difference between a person, as a Muslim, who is saved from hell or on his/her way there. As I said before, I have a healthy respect for muslims as they seem to have not fallen into the liberalisation trap that the west has and the laws of the land mostly still tie up with the laws of God so what is it that makes a Muslim different from a non Muslim. In Christianity it is whether you have accepted the free gift of Salvation and then turned from that old life and attempted to lead a better life but as you fail day to day, continually asking Christ to forgive you as you attempt to stick to the rightous path.
I do now promise my self that I will get a Qu'ran when I get to Doha next month and read it, if I can get an English one which I am sure I can in, say, Villagio, but if someone can short circuit the question, and agian, simply please, as I am not into a complicated faith.
