the U.S are obsessed with the ''war on terror'', and they need the russian for that, for their expertise in chechnya,the caucasus, their inteligence network etc...and the real oponent of the west in this coming century is china for many reasons, so i believe we will forget the georgian accident very fast and resume business as usual
